IT: Ambrogio Romanazzi classe’85 Nato in provincia di Napoli ma cresciuto in Puglia.
Subito dopo gli studi come tecnico commerciale entra a far parte nel 2005 dell’azienda di famiglia degli zii che opera nel campo tessile,nello specifico nel settore vendite.
Nel 2014 il desiderio di creare qualcosa di personale lo porta a creare un brand che realizza solo pantaloni e l’anno seguente si appresta a creare per la medesima linea un total look di concezione fashion coprendo l’intero territorio nazionale.
Dal 2017 diversi Brand pugliesi gli affidano la progettazione stilistica.
Nello stesso anno è responsabile di produzione per una linea di felpe streewear tedesca.
Dopo aver lasciato il Brand creato nel 2014 crea nel 2018 una nuova linea che chiama “Rêve” in francese sogno e nel 2019 un secondo Brand chiamato “Wynwood Clothing” proprio come il quartiere Wynwood di Miami USA. La linea si ispira al mondo della street Art.
Sempre nel 2019 è responsabile di produzione per una famosa compagnia italiana e dalla seconda metà dell’anno viene notato da un importante gruppo Asiatico per entrambi i suoi progetti citati prima : (“Rêve” e “Wynwood”). Le due linee saranno distribuite in quattro Paesi asiatici Hong Kong, Shanghai, Macao e Taiwan.
Nel dicembre dello stesso anno la passione per il Mondo sartoriale lo porta ad aprire il suo Atelier personale Made To Measure chiamato “ROMANAZZI 1930“
Diversi i progetti, dunque, che porta avanti parallelamente ma la passione e la determinazione sono le componenti necessarie in un mercato in continuo movimento che si rinnova con estrema velocità.

En 🇬🇧 : Ambrogio Romanazzi Born in 1985 in the province of Naples but raised in Puglia.
Immediately after his studies as a commercial technician, he joined the uncles’ family company in 2005, which operates in the textile field, specifically in the sales sector.  In 2014, the desire to create something personal led him to create a brand that only makes trousers and the following year he is preparing to create a fashion-inspired total look for the same line, covering the entire national territory.  Since 2017, several Apulian brands have entrusted him with the stylistic design.  In the same year he is the production manager for a German streewear sweatshirt line.  After leaving the brand created in 2014, in 2018 he created a new line called “Rêve” which in French means “dream” and in 2019 a second brand called “Wynwood Clothing” just like the Wynwood neighborhood of Miami USA. The line is inspired by the world of street art.  Also in 2019 he is production manager for a famous Italian company and from the second half of the year he is noticed by an important Asian group for both of his projects mentioned above: (“Rêve” and “Wynwood”). The two lines will be distributed in four Asian countries Hong Kong, Shanghai, Macao and Taiwan.  In December of the same year his passion for the tailoring world led him to open his personal Made To Measure Atelier called ROMANAZZI 1930.  Several projects, therefore, that he carries on in parallel, but passion and determination are the necessary components in a market in continuous movement that is renewed with extreme speed.

It 🇮🇹:

Come è nata questa passione?

Ho avuto la fortuna di crescere nell’azienda tessile di famiglia di proprietà dei miei zii di conseguenza questo mi ha permesso di stare a contatto con laboratori di confezione per abbigliamento da uomo e mi creda, tra i migliori che abbiamo sul territorio nazionale.
Credo sia stato questo percorso a portarmi nella direzione che ora conduco.
La voglia di creare mi entusiasma particolarmente.

Chi ha iniziato per primo questo lavoro nella tua famiglia? Quanti anni fa e come ha iniziato?

L’azienda nasce negli anni settanta grazie ai miei zii che dalle fodere hanno in seguito introdotto la produzione e vendita dei tessuti per abbigliamento.
Subito dopo il diploma sono entrato grazie a loro in azienda guidato e supportato da mia madre. Ho creato il mio primo Brand nel 2014 Raphia Italia.

Come procedi quando vuoi realizzare un abito?

Il mio lavoro di progettazione stilistica non è circoscritto allo sviluppo di un campionario per una determinata stagione poiché nascono sempre nuove idee osservando quello che mi sta intorno, ascoltando musica, ascoltando chi mi parla,leggendo o guardando un film.
Quindi nella mia mente nascono costantemente idee che con cura devono essere messe a punto.
Dalle idee modellistiche passo dunque alla visione dei tessuti e di quello che vorrei per un determinato modello.
Alcune volte accade il contrario, vale a dire, che un tessuto mi indichi quello in cui vorrebbe essere trasformato. Ascoltare è essenziale.

Che tipo di abilità deve avere uno stilista di successo?

Secondo la mia esperienza l’abilità di uno stilista è esclusivamente quella di creare e proporre nuove tendenze ma per avere successo occorrono le persone giuste intorno che sposino le tue idee e sviluppino il modo per venderle.
Quindi dico che non occorre essere uno stilista dotato se non hai chi ti supporta in termini commerciali.

A cosa pensa quando crea un capo d’abbigliamento? da dove trae l’ispirazione? e la moda è arte? (Luca)

Ciao Luca, pensare troppo a volte non ti porta ad avere risultati ma come detto in precedenza guardarti intorno potrebbe aprire meglio la mente a una intuizione.
E in merito alla domanda se la moda è arte ti rispondo: ” guarda Yves Saint Laurent che nel 1980 è stato il primo creatore di moda vivente a godere di una retrospettiva del suo lavoro al Metropolitan Museum di New York”
Quindi sì, la moda è Arte

Hai uno stilista preferito da cui trai ispirazioni e che trovi geniale sotto il punto di vista della creazione?

Ce ne sono diversi. Di sicuro Yves Saint Laurent è tra i miei preferiti è stato un creativo geniale.
Di sicuro non mi piacciono gli stilisti eccentrici.
Ma questo è un mio punto di vista

Durante tutti questi anni hai mai avuto qualche ripensamento su qualche tua creazione?

Ripensamenti mai, piuttosto a qualche capo avrei voluto prestare maggiore attenzione dal punto di vista costruttivo in termini di lavorazione intendo.
Ma su i vari modelli creati sulla base delle miei idee non ho mai avuto alcun dubbio.

Ci vuoi parlare della tua esperienza con il mercato Asiatico?

Certo, a partire dal 2019 e dopo anni di sacrificio ho avuto la grande fortuna e l’onore di essere stato notato dal mercato Asiatico per i miei lavori sviluppati con i Brand ” reve_homme ” e “ wynwoodclothing. “.
Questo anche grazie alla collaborazione dei miei fratelli Antonio Romanazzi e Vincenzo Romanazzi e con Ivano De Turi, mio grande amico che si occupa di strategie competitive.
Entrambi Brand nuovi e molto differenti tra loro.
Il primo è un prodotto fashion avantgard e il secondo trae ispirazione dal mondo della street Art.

In che senso sarà di loro esclusiva?

Su questo mi spiace non poter rispondere a causa di un accordo di non divulgazione, tutto sarà pubblico prossimamente.
però posso dirmi molto orgoglioso di essere stato notato in Asia e della nuova opportunità ma rammaricato dal fatto che in Italia non si dia il giusto valore alle persone e alle idee.
Potrei fare una t-shirt scrivendo una fesseria e facendola indossare a un personaggio famoso avrebbe in Italia maggiore riscontro in termini di vendite e di attenzione rispetto a cappotto in puro Cashmere fatto a mano.

Quali colori non dovresti mai abbinare tra loro e quali possono essere abbinati nel giusto modo?(Alessandro)

Alessandro alla base c’è il fatto che bisogna indossare quello che più ci fa stare a nostro agio. Vale a dire che un uomo deve avere la propria identità e avere il look più consono secondo un determinato contesto.
C’è ad esempio chi dice che il Nero e il blu non vadano abbinati, a me personalmente piace, certamente nelle giuste gradazioni di blu.
Io indosso molto il nero o abbino il nero al grigio durante l’inverno, d’estate mi piace il lino bianco naturale abbinato con le tonalità di celeste o con il beige.

Quali consigli daresti a chi vuole iniziare un percorso come il tuo?

Il mio consiglio è di ascoltare il proprio cuore se avete un sogno di inseguirlo per quanto possa sembrare lontano con il duro lavoro, l’ambizione e la perseveranza potrete raggiungere qualsiasi risultato.
Nessuno vi regala nulla quindi sta a voi.
Vi faccio una confidenza.
Durante il mio percorso ho subito innumerevoli cadute e mi sono rialzato e quando ho trovato nuovi ostacoli ho trovato il modo di superarli perché l’obbiettivo era sempre lì dinnanzi ai miei occhi.

How did this passion come about?

 
I was lucky enough to grow up in the family textile company owned by my uncles and consequently this allowed me to stay in contact with men’s clothing manufacturing workshops and believe me, among the best we have on the national territory. I believe it was this path that led me in the direction I am now leading.  The desire to create excites me particularly.

Who started this job in your family first? How many years ago and how did it start?

The company was founded in the seventies thanks to my uncles who from the linings subsequently introduced the production and sale of fabrics for clothing.  Immediately after graduation I joined them in the company led and supported by my mother.  I created my first brand in 2014 Raphia Italia.

How do you proceed when you want to make a dress?

My stylistic design work is not limited to the development of a sample for a given season since new ideas are always born by observing what is around me, listening to music, listening to those who speak to me, reading or watching a movie.  So in my mind there are constantly ideas that must be carefully developed .  From modeling ideas, therefore, I go to the vision of fabrics and what I would like for a specific model. Sometimes the opposite happens, that is, that a fabric shows me what it would like to be transformed into. Listening is essential.

What kind of skills needs to have a successful stylist?

In my experience the ability of a stylist is exclusively to create and propose new trends, but to be successful you need the right people around you who marry your ideas and develop the way to sell them.
 So I say you don’t have to be a gifted stylist if you don’t have someone who supports you in commercial terms.

What do you think of when you create a piece of clothing? where do you get your inspiration from? and fashion is art? (Luca)

Hi Luca, thinking too much sometimes does not lead you to results but as previously mentioned, looking around could open your mind to an intuition better.
And on the question of whether fashion is art I answer you: “look at Yves Saint Laurent who in 1980 was the first living fashion creator to enjoy a retrospective of his work at the Metropolitan Museum in New York”
So yes, fashion is art

Do you have a favorite designer from whom you draw inspiration and who you find brilliant from the point of view of creation?

There are several. For sure Yves Saint Laurent is among my favorites he was a brilliant creative. I certainly don’t like eccentric stylists. But this is my point of view.

During all these years have you ever had any second thoughts on any of your creations?

Never afterthoughts, rather I would have liked to pay more attention from a constructive point of view in terms of workmanship I mean.
But on the various models created on the basis of my ideas I never had any doubts.

Can you tell us about your experience with the Asian market?

Of course, starting from 2019 and after years of sacrifices I had the great fortune and the honor of being noticed by the Asian market for my works developed with the brands reve_homme and wynwoodclothing.
This is also thanks to the collaboration of my brothers Antonio Romanazzi and Vincenzo Romanazzi and with Ivano De Turi, my great friend who deals with competitive strategies.
Both new and very different brands. The first is an avant-garde fashion product and the second draws inspiration from the world of street art. All my projects will be exclusive to them starting from:
-Hong Kong
-Shanghai
-Macao
-Taiwan

In what sense will it be exclusive to them?

On this I regret not being able to respond due to a non-disclosure agreement, everything will be public soon.
But I can say that I am very proud to have been noticed in Asia and to the new opportunity but regretted that in Italy people and ideas are not given the right value.
I could make a t-shirt by writing a nonsense and having it worn by a famous person would have greater success in Italy in terms of sales and attention than a pure Cashmere handmade coat.

Which colors should you never combine with each other and which can be combined in the right way? (Alessandro)

Alessandro is based on the fact that we must wear what makes us feel at ease.
That is to say that a man must have his own identity
and have the most appropriate look according to a certain context.
For example, there are those who say that black and blue should not be matched to me personally like it, certainly in the right shades of blue.
I wear black a lot or combine black with gray during winter, in summer I like natural white linen combined with shades of light blue or beige.

What advice would you give to those who want to start a journey like yours?

My advice is to listen to your heart if you have a dream of chasing it however far it may seem with hard work, ambition and perseverance you can achieve any result. Nobody gives you anything so it’s up to you. During my journey I suffered countless falls and got up and when I found new obstacles I found a way to overcome them because the goal was always there in front of my eyes.
